What has Bagels got to do with a Sports blog you ask? Something I read the other day piqued my curiosity, it’s about the NCAA ( National Collegiate Athletic Association) enacting a rule to let student-athletes to eat their bagels with complimentary butter, jelly or cream cheese. 😀

I love bagels with arugula and cream cheese and sometimes salmon too. I never really thought of the cream cheese as extra calories but a complement for the chewy bagel…

I know diet is an important discipline with athletes and that they have their own rules blah blah but what’s a packet of jam to hurt them? Besides there are more important issues that they need to focus on.
